Cardea Capital Africa
International private credit,from Dakar
Cardea Capital is establishing itself in West Africa with one conviction: investors in the WAEMU region deserve the same access, the same rigour and the same protections as those in Europe or the Americas.

Why Africa
Why West Africa
Substantial private savings, a stable currency pegged to the euro, a unified business law across seventeen countries. And yet very limited access to international private credit markets. Cardea Capital Africa was born from this gap.
Savings without access
Entrepreneurs and families across WAEMU have capital to deploy, but international channels remain largely closed to them, through banking caution more than regulation.
An underestimated framework
The CFA franc's fixed peg to the euro, OHADA law shared by seventeen states and a regional arbitration court provide a legal and monetary security few emerging markets can claim.
A moment
Senegal and Mali are no longer on international watch lists. Regional banking groups operate in Bamako, Dakar and Paris. The conditions for a solid bridge are in place.
Our vision
“Domicile where the investors are. Invest where the value is. Secure both.”
Capital preservation is not optional
Cardea Capital's philosophy does not change when crossing the Mediterranean: risk is controlled first, return follows.
Ownership to the shareholders
The vehicles managed by Cardea Capital Africa belong to their shareholders, who sit in the decisions. Cardea Capital manages under contract and comes after them.
Transparency as the regulator
With no licence to claim, what builds trust is independent control: the bank, the statutory auditor and the committee.
Our principles
How it works
Shareholders own the vehicles
Each company belongs to its shareholders; they may terminate the management contract.
One vehicle per programme
Each programme has its own company, European vehicle and fixed term; nothing is commingled.
First-ranking security
Securities and accounts of each vehicle are pledged to shareholders; no other creditor is admitted.
Cardea Capital comes last
Its remuneration is subordinated to what is owed to shareholders.
